Effects of HURRICANE MILTON - A letter to the community

An open letter for the BasikBlack community

By Jonathan Black

Dear Friends and Community,

I am writing to update you on the impact of Hurricane Milton on our family.

As you may know, the storm caused significant flooding in our townhome, forcing us to relocate to a hotel.

Now

Post Milton First Floor Demo

Then

Before Hurricane Milton

Finding accommodations has been challenging due to the lack of vacancies, especially in hard-hit Tampa Bay.

The damage to our home is extensive. The entire first floor has been gutted and awaiting repairs. The walls are demolished, and the kitchen is a mess of dust and debris.

While we're grateful to be safe, this situation has been both stressful and disruptive. Losing your sense of security, daily routine, and the comfort of your home can be overwhelming.

We are incredibly thankful for the support of our friends, family, and community during this challenging time. Your kind words and thoughts have been a source of strength.

I'll be sharing updates as things progress.

There's a lot of exciting content and news brewing behind the scenes. I've got some surprises planned before the year ends, and even more to celebrate in the new year! Stay tuned!
