All right, it's official. It is Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Early Access/Prime Christmas/Best Buy/New Year serious sales savvy shopper time yet again and it came even earlier this year for all you bargain hunters out there like me who follow my motto in life (which I've actually made the slogan for the sister company to my beloved BasikBlack - BasikBucks! It's a simple yet effective mantra to live by:
NEVER PAY FULL PRICE... AGAIN!
That's right! You can call it cheap, fickle, frugal, penny pinching, extreme WHATEVER, but at the end of the day I sleep well knowing that I can get anything - literally anything out there - and I guarantee you I will get the lowest price on it.
I will find it on sale, special, bogo, free with sign up, on clearance, coupon, Swagbucked or any other term that equates to serious savings AND, I further declare on top of everything I have in my arsenal... I'll also get cash back on the purchase itself! I do it every...freaking...day from gifts to groceries, it gives me a rush and I love doing it!
Tell me what's wrong with taking care of your loved ones and enjoying the nicer things in life while having cash to spare? And trust me, if you really want to optimize your savings and make your money work for you instead of burn a whole in your pocket, I could name at least 20 ways off the top of my head to double your money, invest it safely or even open a free savings account that'll give you 6% interest RIGHT NOW plus a sign on bonus for opening.
Sounds exhausting, right? Truth be told it can be. And yes, I have learned the hard way in some instances along my journey to build this site and in building my partnerships with quite a few brands I will be mentioning throughout the season to help you save a little more and maybe get some free stuff in the process. But that's why I'm doing it because I want to be able to help those out there who are where I was when I started out almost 4 years ago and I want to share the real details - good, bad and ugly so that I can maybe help some of you not make the same mistakes that I did.
If you've ever read one of my posts you know I tell it like it is and if I'm going to recommend something I don't recommend anything that I don't use myself or I haven't tried myself so I'm not looking to steer you wrong or make a dollar off you. You will see a link here and there I share that, of course, if you follow I probably will make a $.25/ $0.50 off of your click if you sign up for whatever it is or you decide to go through with a sale here or there. But you know what? If you don't want to, don't follow my link. Don't click on it. Links pre -register with image and a description - especially on social media - to protect you from clicking on something you don't want to and if you really want to get around it just Google the general wording of what you see on the link picture and you can follow somebody else's link or go directly to the source if you can find it. That's how much I really don't care about the clicks because I do want to share this information with you and why would I not share it for free? I'm not getting anything out of it. BasikBucks is Literally a sick passion project that I have been navigating for the past 4 years and gotten down to an art and science that drives my husband and friends nuts half the time, but we all have our little corks or things we follow. Sorry, not sorry.
And, let me tell you that generally speaking, I don't purchase ANYTHING without getting at least 20% off - MINIMUM -and that's using my little tried and true methods I'll be sharing with you along the way.

There's something about the holidays that just wants to bleed you dry of every dollar somewhere along the line. We forgot what the holidays are really about and for some reason this year we're really trying to dig deep into our pockets and forget big time. But I'm not here to preach. I'm here to teach. So in the spirit of saying the hell with it and just going with the flow and taking what comes your way, you might as well take advantage of those sales while you can.
One of the biggest weapons I have that I love and I'm going to share with you right now is 100% free. You don't even have to sign up for it. You don't have to log into anything if you don't want to. What I'm talking about here is ShopSavvy.
ShopSavvy is The Best price comparison app, mobile browser enabled extension and desktop extension that gives you a built in barcode scanner and allows you to set up alerts when an item goes on sale. Anything. Anywhere. No limits They check retailers sites for new price drops so you don’t have to. Get a detailed price history report to compare prior sales. You can use the barcode reader to scan or enter a keyword search to find any item.
This app I will admit in the beginning I felt was a little outdated and sometimes still I'm not 100% in love with it but at the end of the day it's still the best price comparison sale notifying app out there that I have found. As I said it is 100% free to download and use. They do offer a paid membership that basically takes away the ads but it is not required, it's very minimal - I think a one time minimal charge/donation (bc this app is run and operated by the best savvy shoppers out there and this is their passion project). However, I never found the ads to be an issue and they usually were helpful considering what you're there for. You can log into it via your Google account or email, but you don't have to do that either. I highly recommend you do create an account just for the fact that it will back up and save all of your lists and price check items for future reference should anything happen and the memory on your phone or browser not back up properly.
This app is not just for special holiday shopping, although I do have some big ticket items I've been watching throughout the year and generally anything I have my eye on over $50-$100 I like to pop in this app and watch. Especially if it is something popular because when you pop in what you're looking for and you hit search, it'll give you usually up to 20 stores price comparison, price history, you name it, you have it and you can set an alert for your email, push notifications, or however you like to get them so that as soon as it goes on sale, you're the first one to know. That's how I found out that Walmart Plus is 50% off for the next 48 hours at the crack of dawn yesterday when it was first released from their corporate website. Thanks ShopSavvy! (Note-don't get discouraged if you don't see a lot of results first few times around. Generally the less popular the product the less results but you will get results especially if you use the barcode scanner.)
That said, I'm sharing the link below and I hope you'll check it out because it is an awesome tool and you'll definitely be able to catch the best sales while taking a lot of the time and hassle out of it. If anything, I feel that is what this app is best at because above all else it will save you the time, the energy and the headache of flipping through all the ads, websites, blogs and trying to keep up with what sale is coming up next just so you can usually end up missing them entirely which is honestly what the retailers are hoping for. So, give it a go ave save a few dollars and maybe you'll even be able to take a vacation after the holidays. I know I could use one!

And I do recommend getting the app and the browser extension because you can easily save items or share them no matter if you're in an app or website easily to the ShopSavvy app or extension so that it can watch them for you.
In closing I think you will find this very helpful and trust me, A final tip from one savvy shopper to another is next time you go grocery shopping, before you put those bags away into your fridge just whip out your cell phone and open the app and as you're putting away those groceries, scan every item because you can use that barcode scanner and scan all of your regular routine items that you buy day in and day out all year long. Everything from the Ratio Keto Yogurt that is constantly stocked in my fridge and I practically live off of (I love that stuff!) to your favorite hair dye or makeup. It doesn't matter. It'll alert you when it goes on sale. You'll get the best price.
